Here is our curriculum intent for RE

At Elm Wood Primary School we adopt the Rochdale Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education and through this we aim to encourage our pupils to have an open-minded approach. Through exploration and discussion, the children learn about a range of religions and worldviews and they learn to respect and value the opinions and beliefs of others. We want to encourage them to appreciate similarities and differences whilst learning to express their own views and responses to important issues. Our objective is that our pupils develop a fair-minded and empathetic enquiry towards a range of religious and non-religious beliefs and that through this they learn to express their own opinions and values.
