Elm Wood Primary School

News & Events

We have been so busy this last academic year with lots of exciting events happening!

Our new creative curriculum has enriched the children's learning journeys. Some of the activities have included: visits to the beach, sea life centre visits, a special visit to Santa, trips to Chadderton Park, Jodrell Bank, The Titanic Exhibition at the Liverpool Maritime Museum, Tatton Park, Knowsley Safari Park, Blackpool Zoo,  Tandle Hill, Creswell Crags and Robinwood to name a few. We have also had some fantastic visitors in school including: a Roman workshop, many visits from Sam's Safari and a Planetarium.

As well as our trips and visits we have also enjoyed many celebration assemblies, where our children have been able to share their learning with their parents/carers.

We have also taken part in Timestables Challenges and Spelling Bee Competitions with our collaborative schools - Alkrington and Boarshaw Primary.

This year the Manchester United Primary Stars will be working with Year 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Please look at our gallery to see some of the other fantastic events, activities and competitions we have taken part in such as: Aspirations Day, Grandparents Afternoon Tea and many more.
