Elm Wood Primary School

The Enchanted Forest

Welcome to The Enchanted Forest. Our Therapeutic Inclusion Room (Th.Inc Room) was transformed into a magical space for children to explore and they love to come and work in here.

Our Learning Mentor, Kate Hunter, runs small groups with children from all year groups through school, to improve self-esteem, life skills, address social and emotional issues and support children with any other specific needs.

During the groups children will have the opportunity to have a snack, share news, take part in a planned activity and finish with a relaxation under the stars!

Last term as part of Healthy Week all of the children in our school took part in a relaxation activity called 'The Worry Tree' in the Enchanted Forest. The children thoroughly enjoyed this and as a result of the feedback from them we now have an Elm Wood Worries and Wishes Tree in the library area which we hope the children will access if they would like to. Kate will monitor this.

Below are some photos of our amazing room. Everyone is welcome in here, children, parents and staff. We hope that many of our children will have fun and benefit from their experiences in The Enchanted Forest.

We hope you like our Enchanted Forest as much as we do!
